At Classic Turf, we believe in constant innovation and growth. We are always evaluating and re-evaluating our processes and asking ourselves this question: “How can we do this better?”
This dedication to innovation isn’t limited to our work on courts, tracks, and fields. We’re often thinking about how we present our work to you, our audience! Several years ago, Classic Turf started bringing a drone out to project sites to document the remarkable transformations of the courts, tracks, and fields we’ve installed at parks, schools, and private residences throughout the Northeast. It only made sense that we’d start to explore creative ways of sharing this footage.
Enter our new YouTube channel – a great catalog of visual content to document all that goes on “beneath the surface” of our projects. We want to develop a close, personal connection through the work we share, and our goal with our YouTube channel is to give you a little more behind the scenes insight. From documenting facility installations to interviewing past customers about their experience, we want our page to reflect the meticulous nature of the work we do, and how we work with our clients every step of the way.
Take a look at the first entry in our Customer Stories Series. In this video, you’ll meet Eric, a homeowner in Litchfield County. He recounts the evolution of our partnership, which started with a challenging tennis court construction project built into the hillside of their first home. Happy with the results, they brought us back for a second court at their new residence in Washington Depot, CT. We enjoy learning about each client’s unique vision, and used Eric’s ideas as a guide for our game plan which included some unique customizations and personalized details for the court.
Our Highlight Reel Series combines onsite drone footage and photography. From the existing site preparation, concrete pour and stressing of the cables, to the site work, surfacing and final striping – the goal of our Highlight Reels is to show you the life cycle of a project. From the new pickleball courts we installed at the Golf Club of Avon to the two post tension courts we installed at the East Haddam municipal offices in Moodus, CT, you’ll find glimpses into each step of these projects, as well as beautiful shots of the finished product.
Our Highlight Reels also delve into some of our more personal moments, like our #40yearsinthegame celebration at Waldingfield Farm in October of 2021. Presented like a photo album, this major milestone was celebrated with employees, clients, family, and friends, and included live music, local craft beer and wine, a wood-fired pizza truck, face painting, s’mores, and fun!
Lastly, our Installation Series helps illustrate how Classic Turf oversees all aspects of the engineering and construction process, and the design/build approach that puts us on the front lines. Want to learn a little bit about constructing a post tension athletic facility running track? You’ll find the details here! We’ve shared the process from our post tension track installation at Amity High School in Woodbridge, CT, and are working to complete a similar video for new courts that were recently installed at Hopkins School in New Haven!
At Classic Turf, we take an immense amount of pride in our work. There’s a special joy in building something vital for communities and families – a facility that will stand the test of time. Our commitment to innovation and growth means that your courts, tracks and fields will look and perform as well as the day they were built. Our relentless pursuit of learning and improvement allows us to see both the big picture and the countless little details. We hope that our content on our YouTube channel will bring you up close and personal with our projects, giving you a magnifying glass to examine all the little details that open up the big picture. Keep coming back! We’ll be updating this page with more of our journeys throughout the world of post tension concrete, and more!
